New Album (04.03.07) |
'Release Date' is a lot more METAL than it's predecessor 'Blood Sample'.
To give you another taste of it WALTARI put the video to the song "Get Stamped" to their Myspace. There you can also see the clip to "Wish I Could Heal". Waltari are known as crazy Metal rockers from Finland playing the ultimate crossover music. Starting from the early 90?'s they began to clear their way into the hearts of music lovers, mixing a multitude of traditional Rock Music into totally new combinations. With a pioneering and open- minded approach, the band has evolved into a melting pot of musical genres assimilating everything that is current. With eleven studio albums and two best of collections having climbed several charts, most notably with their biggest hit "So Fine", Waltari still manage to surprise crowd and media everywhere with their songs. With their new album "Release Date" they show themselves more progressive and harder than ever before. "Release Date" lets you in on the Day of the Emancipation of the Senses, towards a new kind of pure animality! |

Waltari Mistaken For Lordi
(04.07.06) |
The weekend half of Europe was in front of the television watching LORDI win teh Eurovision Song Contest and the other half was watching the Ice Hockey finals, WALTARI played M.U.Y.A. festival. So they were tired and completely unsuspecting when an old women approached WALTARI's manager Pekka the morning after at Düsseldorf airport:
"At Düsseldorf airport on Sunday morning an older Finnish lady approached us to congratulate for the fantastic historical victory. And we were like "what...?" She said hush-hush, I won´t expose you to anyone else but for sure you are Lordi. And pointed at me saying, I recognize your eyes, you are Mr. Lordi himself. So what could I do... I played the role. Gave signature and promised that after five years when no one is interested in us anymore we do like Kiss and make an "unmasked" album." |
