| SHATTER MESSIAH - tops the editor's charts! (05.11.2007) |
MindView magazine from Belgium got it right when they put SHATTER MESSIAH on top of their editor's charts!
Rock Hard Germany states:
"You can hear it from the first note of "God Burns Like Flesh" that SHATTER MESSIAH riff-master Curran Murphy was playing in Nevermore. This second opus of his own band is purely in the vein of hard, psychotic songs in the no man's land between Power, Thrash, Prog and Death Metal, which is taken by Seattle's finest for quite some time. Also Greg Wagner is a front man who sings, screams and suffers like Warrel Dane's little brother. Better a good copycat than a bad original? Indeed. Because highlights like "Idolator", the title track "God Burns Like Flesh" and "Dirge Of Christ" could also pass on the "Dead Heart In a Dead World" album by Nevermore." Buffo Schnädelbach
You are still not convinced? Shatter Messiah have uploaded the new full-length song "Pathway" from "God Burns Like Flesh" to their myspace page. An additional song "Buried in Black" can be heard exclusively at Shatter Messiah drummer Robert Falzano's Personal myspace page. "God Burns Like Flesh" is out NOW, so go and get it! |

| Album Of The Month (31.10.2007) |
Having sharpened his guitar prowess by playing technically demanding
songs on numerous tours as a member of NEVERMORE and ANNIHILATOR, Curran
Murphy stepped out of the shadows of these acclaimed acts with his own

(ex-ANNIHILATOR), bassist Jason Chamberlain, and guitarist Dusty Holt.
SHATTER MESSIAH's sound is a viciously intense mixture combining
hardcore, classic thrash, power metal, and goth, resulting in compositions of over the top aggression and melodic skill, with a flair
for dramatic song writing.

DOCKYARD 1 Signs Shatter Messiah (11.04.06) |
Having sharpened his guitar prowess by playing technically demanding
songs on numerous tours as a member of NEVERMORE and ANNIHILATOR, Curran
Murphy is now stepping out of the shadows of these acclaimed acts to
form his own band, SHATTER MESSIAH. SHATTER MESSIAH's sound is a
viciously intense mixture combining Curran's Metal roots with classic
Thrash and Power Goth, resulting in compositions of over the top
aggression and melodic skill. These musical works showcase Curran's
awe-inspiring guitar playing and a flair for dramatic songwriting.
To be able to complete the band he had in mind, Curran required a
vocalist for SHATTER MESSIAH that could literally sing anything, from
demonic growls to a melodious angelic choir, piercing highs to earth
shattering lows. Just as Curran began to think that this vocalist did
not exist, Greg "Wags" Wagner (BREAKER; ex-ARCHETYPE) auditioned for the
position, and Curran knew that he had finally found the singer that
would put no limits on his musical vision. Drum viruoso Robert Falzano
played together with Curran in ANNIHILATOR and came along with longtime
friend Ron Boisvert (bass).
And we are equally excited to have finally signed this outstanding band!
There's a lot to come, starting with the release of their debut album
"Never to Play the Servant" soon!
