SAVAGE CIRCUS "Of Doom And Death" (12.09.09)
Savage Circus is ready to return to the scene with a crack of thunder. The long awaited new album "Of Doom And Death" shows all trademarks of "Dreamland Manor". Progressive and powerful songwriting combined with elaborate arrangements, tons of melodies and harmonies, raging guitars rounded up with the trademark vocals towering on the music. From speed monsters such as the title track "Of Doom And Death" to the majestic "Ballad Of Susan" Savage Circus created an album with all the varieties one would expect and beyond.

Yes, Savage Circus are definitely back and ready to deliver another blistering ear candy to the metal universe in October 2009.

SAVAGE CIRCUS send a sign of life - new song available! (25.03.09)
After 5 million years in hibernation SAVAGE CIRCUS send an impressive wake-up call: The first song of their new album! Go and get a listen to the track "The Ordeal" on www.savage-circus.com and www.myspace.com/savagecircus! The pages are also updated with some exclusive pictures from the recordings. But that's not all SAVAGE CIRCUS have to say - here is the personal letter from the band too all their fans:

Hi to all the good folks,

It’s been a long time... and if you say too long, you are damned right! Well, there is not really one overall reason for this absence; it’s more or less a combination of smaller and bigger things in the life of the individual band members. But there’s been one thing for sure, that struck all of us at the same time: the separation from Thomen. This hit us right in the middle of the first songwriting process for the follow up album to "Dreamland Manor" and – as you may imagine – was not really a boost to our creativity. This had to be "digested" for a while...

While "digesting" in Umea, Sweden a lot of things did happen. Jens and Emilio got involved in the annual House Of Metal Festival (where SC played in 2007). This is quite a lot of stuff to take care for and indeed is time consuming. Yet another quite time consuming activity can be reported from Jens: he built a house! And nevertheless Emilio has encountered the maybe by far most time consuming thing in the world: the man got married! Congratulations and welcome to the club!

But also in Hamburg time moved on. In early 2006 my 3rd (!) daughter was given birth and she’s just sweet as honey. By now she is 3 years old and started kindergarten in October 2008. This finally gave me back the time I needed so bad to finish up my songwriting for SC! In the year before it has been my job to take care of the little one during the day... I thought, songwriting is best at night, so no problem. Unfortunately I forgot, how much energy such a little thing draws from you. Those of you with kids of their own know, what I am talking about. So this whole thing turned into a more or less unplanned Sabbath year for little Piet. The only thing I managed to do was to play 2 US shows with my other band Iron Savior (check www.iron-savior.com for more details on this) and to come up with a handful of riffs and melodies for the SC songwriting.

At this point the whole band would like to thank all of you for your patience big time. And your patience shall be rewarded! We are in the final process of the songwriting and a good 90% of the songs are finished and ready to get recorded.

But it will get even better - Jens and Emilio have already recorded vocals on the first track and they added some pics from the recording that can be found on www.savage-circus.com. So the pre-production of the follow up the the great debut album has started! And as a proof of life you will find the first teaser track "The Ordeal" on www.savage-circus.com, too!

So enjoy the first demo-sounds from the forthcoming album and check back this page very soon for more infos!

All the best to all of you!
Emilio, Jens, Mike, Yenz and Piet.

Limited Edition Delayed (28.08.05)

'Dreamland Manor' is out on Monday - well, that's what we thought as well ... unfortunately the countdown is spoiled, because we had to take the limited edition versions off the market before they were released. There was a mistake at the pressing plant, the video track was added to the cd, but somehow the music wasn't. Pity for us – delay for you.

In some countries you might not even find the "regular" edition in the shops because some of the retailers ordered the limited edition only. Now the limited edition is shipped back to the pressing plant, and the missprinted CD will be replaced. The limited edition of “Dreamland Manor” includes all 9 tracks, the artwork on a luxury digipack and the video for "Evil Eyes". You can probably lay your hands on it by the end of the week, but for sure it will be in the shops Monday, September 5th. Believe us, we are really sorry!

Savage What??? (10.04.05)

Savage Circus is the brainchild of Ex-Blind Guardian drummer Thomen Stauch.

Wanting to go more -back to the roots- Thomen had the idea of putting together a band to create thrashy Melodic Speed Metal. Introduced to the Swedish band Persuader by his old friend Piet Sielck, he knew he had found the elements to create this perfect marriage of catchy melodies and straight forward speed-attacks.

Comprised of four guys all sharing the same musical outlook, Jens and Emil from Persuader, Piet and Thomen make up the blistering earcandy that Savage Circus stands for. Read more and listen to first soundfiles at: www.thomen.de.

Stay tuned ... and watch out for the Album Release in August '05!!!
