Reviews In (04.03.07) |
In time to the release of "Eye For An Eye", our Swedish five-piece DREAMLAND updated their webpage: Go to www.dream-land.nu. The follow-up to "Future's Calling" is getting great reviews by Melodic Metal Lovers. Read the excerpt written by Germany's legendary "Metal Warrior" Andreas Schöwe of Metal Hammer: "Greetings from Don Dokken /Remember DOKKEN? Remember "Tooth And Nail" (1984)? »Under Lock And Key« (1985)? Or even "Back For The Attack" (1987)? After this you could obviously see the end of creativity among this American band, and all those reunion, comeback and whatever tries to to tie up to old success were mostly shallow. But who wants to know how DOKKEN could sound today if the scuffle between Don Dokken and his introverted guitar player George Lynch hasn't ended the creative phase of the band, just has to listen to the new output "Eye For An Eye" of Sweden's DREAMLAND! Catchy melodies, wonderful chorusses, string power galore - and everything un-wrapped by a modern sound! Everything a Dokken fan can only dream off. Almost as if Dokken and Lynch lived in Sweden nowadays!" |
Album Finished (07.11.06) |
DREAMLAND from Gothenburg/SWEDEN have finished the recording of their yet
unnamed second album. The band went back from Joacim Cans' Moonshine Studio
where they recorded guitars and vocals to Andy LaRocque's Los Angered
Recording studios to start mixing the tracks.
Joacim Cans did it again and added his remarkable vocals to the background
choir of this album, as he already did with the predecessor "Future's
Calling".
"After just a few adjustement from Andy?s magical fingers the sound just
floored us", states the band. Bass player Mats Rendlert adds:
"The Album will follow the melodic path of the debut "Future's Calling"
but will maybe also surprise the listener here 'n' there".
The release is scheduled for January 2006.

New Drummer (14.01.06) |
Silently drummer Marcus Sköld has left DREAMLAND, his new replacement is Jesse Lindskog. Lindskog is an experienced drummer and has been proving his skills so far with DRAGONLAND (where he is still as well) and NOSTRADAMEUS.
Comments bass player Mats Rendlert:
"Marcus has decided to leave the band to focus on his skills as a singer. We are still good friends, and we support his choice and wish him the best in his future musical career. We are happy to announce that Jesse Lindskog is now a fulltime member of the band. Jesse is a great guy and a fantastic drummer and we are thrilled to have him onboard."
