| DEGRADEAD - more chart entries + final tourdates! (18.03.09) |
"Out Of Body Experience", the second album by Swedish Melodic Death Metal band DEGRADEAD, did not only hit the official Swedish album charts on #48, but also on a couple of Genre and regional charts in Sweden: They hit #6 on the Rock/Metal charts (right behind HammerFall, Lamb Of God and H.E.A.T) and #6 on the Gothenburg regional charts!

"Out Of Body Experience" is DEGRADEAD's second album, and it's the second album in only 12 month. This young Swedish five-piece was named "The Future Of Metal" by Jesper Strömblad of IN FLAMES, who produced the first DEGRADEAD album "Til Death Do Us Apart" together with his colleagues in H.O.R.D.E at IF Studios in Gothenburg. For the recording of "Til Death Do Us Apart" DEGRADEAD went North to work in Peter Tägtgren's Abyss studio with Jonas Kjellgren (SCAR SYMMETRY, CARNAL FORGE). |

DEGRADEAD - the young five-piece from Stockholm, Sweden - has hit the Swedish album charts on #48 with their new album "Out Of Body Experience"!
This marks the band's first chart entry and Dockyard 1's first entry in the Swedish charts as well!
Producer Jonas Kjellgren (SCAR SYMMETRY, CARNAL FORGE) stated about "Out Of Body Experience":

DEGRADEAD went to Trollhättan - about 400 kilometers north from their hometown Stockholm to shoot the video for "Wake The Storm" - if you're in it for roughing it, DEGRADEAD are - getting up early, leaving Stockholm 0500 in the morning - starting at 1100, finished by 0030 and back in Stockholm at 0600. But the result is paying back all the efforts - here are the first stills from the video shoot! |

DEGRADEAD are almost done recording the follow-up to their debut "Til Death Do Us Apart" at Abyss Studios with producer Jonas Kjellgren (Scar Symmetry). Additional to the previous four videos from the studio they uploaded a video interview with all members of the band about the recording process and the upcoming album!
Jesper Strömblad (IN FLAMES) stated about DEGRADEAD's debut album "Til Death Do Us Apart" which was recorded at IF Studios in Gothenburg with H.O.R.D.E.:

The successor of the highly acclaimed debut album "Til Death Do Us Apart" will be recorded mainly at Peter Tägtgren's The Abyss Studio with producer Jonas Kjellgren (SCAR SYMMETRY). Mixing and mastering are scheduled for Dug Out Studios (IN FLAMES, ENGEL...)

On their release party last weekend they sold out Tantogården in their hometown Stockholm. Degradead had the song "Til Death Do Us Apart" as intro as they entered the stage, and then played the complete album in chronological order to a frantic audience. DEGRADEAD are already confirmed for a tour with Dimension Zero, so be prepared!

Having played together for quite some time building a strong following in Sweden with consistent live work things went ahead for the Stockholm based Degradead finally after completing their demo album "Death Row", when Jesper Strömblad from In Flames took notice of them. He showed interest in working with them and Degradead took their chance and went down to Gothenburg and recorded their debut "Til Death Do Us Apart" in IF studios. We are proud to announce the signing of Stockholm-based DEGRADEAD!
Jesper Strömblad of IN FLAMES announces them as ”The Future of Metal” – and he knows what he’s talking about! Jesper took notice of them with their demo album ”Death Row” and offered them to work with him.
Degradead took their chance and went down to Gothenburg and recorded their debut "Til Death Do Us Apart" in IF Studios. The album was produced by a team – calling themselves H.O.R.D.E, mixed and engineered by Björn Gelotte and co-engineered by Jesper Strömblad and Daniel Svensson. Result of the recordings is a piece of finest Melodic Death Metal – finding the perfect balance between Death, Thrash and catchy melodies, with their already very own signature.
The release of “Till Death Do Us Apart” is scheduled for January 28th. Make sure to go on their Myspace and check out the first two tracks of that album – the Melodic Death Metal reference “Genetic Waste” and the rather thrashy “Take Control” with a dot of songwriting from Metallica to Children Of Bodom.
A tour is planned for 2008 with Dimension Zero. And that´s just the beginning - be sure to hear a lot more of Degradead!
