| ASSAILANT - get album teasers! (20.03.08) |
Assailant from Umeå/Sweden step into the path of the uncountable number of great bands from this town in the far North like Naglfar, Nocturnal Rites and Persuader, just to name a few. And there's more than just the local connection, guitar player Oscar is the little brother of Emil Norberg (Persuader/Savage Circus) & Nils Norberg (Nocturnal Rites). But if you expect a Power Metal album now you are not totally wrong but definitely misleaded. Assailant manage to create a hybrid between Progressive, Power and Melodic Death Metal, that makes Umeå look like a suburb of Gothenburg. After their successful debut Assailant deliver their new masterpiece "Wicked Dream" where again clean vocals team up with occasional screams, heavy guitar riffing with keyboard tunes showing that Assailant have created their very own solid, hard hitting yet melodic sound. Let them convince you with their huge wall of sound with melodic paintings, a threatening atmosphere and an aggressive edge!

Our Swedish youngsters ASSAILANT just finished recording the follow up to their debut "Nemesis Within". The new album is entitled "Wicked Dream". It is not only more mature than it's predecessor but it shows a band that has clearly found it's own path in Metal, very melodical yet really hard, sprinkled with influences of Rock, Death Metal and Thrash. Crown of the album is the ballad "Eternal". If you can stay deaf to ASSAILANT's wicked dream, there is no drip of blood left in you!
The release of "Wicked Dream" is scheduled for March 21st. |

Young Swedish Thrashers ASSAILANT were home just in time for Christmas when they were done recording and mixing their debut "Nemesis Within" at Hammer Music studios near Hamburg/Germany. The album's being mastered right now and will be released on April 24th. Read their studio diary for more. |

Umeå's youngest, the thrash-oriented ASSAILANT named their debut album on Dockyard 1 "Nemesis Within". Currently singer Peder Sundqvist is recording his vocals at Hammer Music near Hamburg. Check for updates on the recording in their studio diary. |
Studio Diary (03.11.05) |
Our newcomer ASSAILANT is currently recording their debut record in
their hometown Umeå. Guitar, bass and synths were recorded in their
very own studio. On Monday October 31st they entered Musikantens
studio in Umeå, the vocals will be recorded at Hammer Music
(former Karo studios) near Hamburg/Germany starting December 4th.

Their yet untitled record is scheduled for a March, 27th release in
2006. Guitar player Oscar Norberg is the "little brother" of Emil of
Persuader/Savage Circus fame and of Nils Norberg of Nocturnal Rites.
