"Dear deaf people!
The ABANDONETTES have some good and bad news to deliver:
First the bad news: Konrad “Konny” Cartini, the original ABANDO-drummer, will lay down his drumsticks immediately due to sexual differences! Gone are the times of spontaneous stand-up comedy and delicate drumming that enriched each single live gig and our records... The reason for all this: Konny’s gonna be a daddy for the second time! Seems like it’s time for him to take care of his kids before they end up like him, haha! We’ll miss you, brother!
But ABANDONED wouldn’t be ABANDONED if we had no equivalent successor for the no longer vacant position (which indeed is the good news)!
We are proud to announce that Sven Vormann, drummer par excellence who played in DESTRUCTION and JESUS CHRYSLER SUPERSKUNK in the past, has just joined the ABANDONED family!!!
Welcome aboard, brother!
We’re looking forward to the first shows introducing the ABANDONED Mk. II-Line Up on Headbanger’s Open Air and many others to thrash your fuckin’ socks off and to record our next album in true ABANDONED fashion by the end of the year... yeah!

Our German Thrash virtuosos ABANDONED went South of Hessen into Kohlekeller Studios to record their second album. To show they haven't left the way of oldschool Bay Area sound by an inch this new Thrash Metal grenade is named 'Thrash You!', and it will surely thrash your home stereo and your solarplexus. Vienna Gig With SAVAGE CIRCUS (13.12.05) |
German Thrashers ABANDONED will join and support SAVAGE CIRCUS in Vienna/Austria on Feb. 10th, 2006. The gig at "Planet Music" will be SAVAGE CIRCUS' live premiere. Other supporting acts are Sequoia Dendron and Serenity. Labelmates ABANDONED will play right before the headliner SAVAGE CIRCUS and hopefully present new songs of the upcoming album. ABANDONED are currently recording their still untitled DOCKYARD 1 debut at Hammer Music studios in Brakel near Hamburg (former Karo Studios) with Producer Clemens von Witte, the record will be released ten days later on February 20th, 2006.

Dockyard 1 is proud to announce the signing of one of Germany's most promising newcomers. Bay Area Thrash Metal is alive and well, and Abandoned is today's answer to it.
Winner of 2004's SIMeVIL talent award, Abandoned has proven to be one the best festival acts this year: Along with many other successful shows, they have played Rock Hard Open Air, Wacken Open Air, Earthshaker Open Air, Trash 'em All. Here is what the media is saying: "These guys are no amateurs ..." (Rock Hard), "an unbelievable amount of power and fun" (Bright Eyes), "The fastest band this evening" (Powermetal.de, Rock Hard festival review), "The best band this evening" (Powermetal.de, Trash 'em All festival review).
