| MAGICIAN
- attention, Angra! (20th August, 2008) |
Musicwise MAGICIAN from Porto Allegre, Brazil delivers what is lost since the split of early Angra: Bombastic riffs, Speed Metal attacks, a dot of Progressive and excellent solos - pompous music with all Heavy Metal circumstances! Recorded in Brasil this musical splendour got it's final polish when it was mixed and and mastered at High Gain Studios in Hamburg/Germany by Dirk Schlächter (GAMMA RAY), Kai Hansen (GAMMA RAY) and Arne Lakenmacher, who worked with bands like KREATOR, PRIMAL FEAR, SODOM, NEVERMORE and DESTRUCTION. Be bedazzled by the brilliance of the "Tales of The Magician"!
Metal Hammer Germany Germany rates:
"MAGICIAN from Porto Alegre/Brazil sound like a bastard between Angra, Rhapsody and Dream Theater. Their album "Tales Of The Magician" has everything you need: orchestral arrangements, double bass and Prog Metal accessoires. (...) The guitar players Renato Osorio and Christiano Schmitt learned their lesson in Loureiro/Bettencourt and cite just a decent bit of Yngwie Malmsteen. But are even better than their influences to let vocalist Dan Rubin shine. Attention ANGRA - this band is gonna give you a rought ride!
"Tales Of The Magician" will be out on September 19th! |
